Food note
Kanpei is a premium cultivar developed in Ehime Japan Noted for its "jelly-like" flesh and almost imperceptible segment membranes. To maximize nutritional intake It is recommended to consume the thin white pith (albedo) which contains the highest concentration of bioflavonoids. Its cooling properties make it an ideal fruit for clearing internal heat and moistening the lungs during dry seasons.
